Sauna how to use
Every Finn uses the sauna when he wants to, because he uses it from early childhood. How to use the sauna properly? Uses cold water after hot (most of them), and sometimes without it (hot organism cools down within 3-4 hours), or stays in a hot room for a normal time or longer period: 30, 40 minutes and longer. Of course, many Finnish doctors criticize any unfavorable type of bath. In 1974, the Finnish Sauna Association together with professors of medicine issued instructions on the correct use of the sauna. If people do not follow it and suffer some damage in the sauna, in Finland such cases do not change the good opinion about the sauna. Halotherapy strengthens immunity and can be used in the sauna room.
If people use a hot or cold stimulus longer than it is beneficial to their body, or combine sauna with swimming, sauna with alcohol consumption, etc., their health may suffer, which is not always directly noticeable. Consequences of exaggeration, eg too many stages of the sauna, or errors such as a hot shower after a hot sauna, no air bath, no hot foot bath, can cause weakness or the opposite – hyperactivity or sleeping problems. Salt grind.
So why not use the sauna in a way that suits our body’s adaptability so that we can enjoy it many times and experience its lasting beneficial effects between successive baths?

Recommendations for using the sauna
-One entrance to the sauna should last about 5-15 minutes, and the total time should not exceed 30 minutes a day, for example, 2 x 15 min or 3 x 10 min. It makes sense to use the sauna 2-3 times a week
After each exit from the sauna you should take a shower with cold and hot water and rest for 10-15 minutes.
Number of entries to the sauna:
about 1 for children from 3 to 12 years old.
about 2-3 for adults.
When you are in the sauna and during your rest, it is best to drink tea, juices or mineral water.
While in the sauna, do not lubricate the body or face with any creams, as this reduces the surface area that expels sweat.
When using the sauna, you should not eat much, and also drink coffee and alcohol.
It is best to walk to the sauna on an empty stomach, or about 2 hours after a meal, the intestines and the bladder empty.
If the legs and hands are cold – warm them before entering.
Do not enter the sauna under stress and tired – too much heart load, less effectiveness.
Enter after wiping the body – droplets on the skin may burn (applies to a dry sauna).
